I drive a 94 Geo Prizm, and lately I've noticed that when I do a slow, sharp turn in either direction (like into a parking spot), there is a squealing noise coming from the front tires. I'm not positive, but I think it's worse when the car is just started up. I am just wondering what this could be.
From google, it seems that this could be a power steering leak or something along those lines.
Do you have any idea what this could be and what I should do to fix it? Cost would be nice too!Squeeling noise during sharp turns?
It definately sounds like a poewr steering problem. Check your fluid level and see where its at. Also, check the ground underneath where you park and see if there is any fluid on the ground, signs of a leak. Is your car more difficult to steer or is the noise your only problem? Hope this helps.
your power steering belts are loose.the noise is not from your tires but from the engine.just get someone to tighten the belts up.no big deal.20 bucks at most if they are honest.Squeeling noise during sharp turns?
Most squealing in tight turns is just the power steering pump Pressure relief valve doing its thing. It is normal.
However, if its a tire squeal, have your steering geometry checked out. (Alignment.)Squeeling noise during sharp turns?
IF your car has power steering, then it would be the power steering belt squealing when you lock your steering wheel all the way over to turn. By easing off JUST a tad until it does not squeak, then you are still getting the same turn radius and not pegging the relief valve in the power steering pump.
If your car does NOT have power steering, the squeeling sound is normal for the front tires themselves to be making this noise.
Perfect "Ackerman" effect in steering geometry is hard to engineer in economy cars.
The only things that can make that noise in the steering system is; tires low on air, steering fluid level low, and if it has a power steering belt, it maybe loose. Some steering pumps are gear driven and not belt driven. That's why I said if it has a steering belt.

Sat nav software for mobile phone..?
Is there any java-based sat nav software for non Palm OS/Symbian phones (I have a W800i) that allows you to store the maps locally on a memory card etc, instead of having to connect to a server?
I've trawled Google for ages and come up with loads of products which store the maps, but only work on Palm OS/Symbian, and loads which work with my phone, but need to connect every time you calculate a route.
The only thing close I've found is http://www.i10n.com/ , but this doesn't give you directions as you drive.
Does anyone know of any suitable programs, or if anyone like TomTom is planning on developing something similar?Sat nav software for mobile phone..?
Not that I know of. I heard recently that TomTom made an exclusive release saying they will not be developing anything for Symbian (which ruled the Nokia n95 out), their market is still very slim in mobile phones.
Have u tried the usual ones? 'Maps', 'Mobile GMaps' etc?
Sorry unable to help you mate.

I don't want to encourage rape.... But... Yeh, go and rape her, she deserves it, and while your at it rape yourself too for being sooooooo stupid for trusting someone with something like that... Your not going to get your money back without a fight,
The biggest mistake you made was agreeing for only a portion of the money up front.
The other biggest mistake you made was meeting her at a coffee shop, you don't know where she lives, anything about her and she can completely get away without paying you the rest, no problem.
There are people on craigslist that do that for a living, come up with excuses, all kinds of ****. I've seen it happen way to much.
My friend just bought an Iphone 4g off craigslist, the dude wanted 400 bucks, that was fine, but I told my friend about the scams on craigslist and told her to get the guy to meet her at AT%26amp;T or some place like that to make sure the phones works. turns out the phone did NOT work, but would turn on. Theres just ppl like that.
Mostlikely, you can kiss your 200 bucks goodbye.I sold my 13" Macbook pro to this girl plz help.....?
you could ask her but if you don't have any proof of you selling that laptop to her you cant do anything anymore dude you cant trust anyone in this world lol people make stories regardless of it being real or not no one cares about anyone else beside them self if you cant proof that you sold her your macbook its your lost !!!I sold my 13" Macbook pro to this girl plz help.....?
Yes, you should, but don't fall for any funny business this time. Her saying she could come up with 200 in a week should have risen flags for you.
Yes you should confront her at work, she made a legally binding verbal contract. The problem with verbal contracts is there is denial from the other person, etc. She promised the 200 more, make sure you get it.

Marriage problem can anyone help?
my husband likes to start fights. even over the littlest things. like i wanted to look for a switch in the car and he said he was hot and i said to sit in the passenger side and he kept complaining and then he said im getting irritated. when all he had to do was go around the the passenger side while i looked for the switch and then it turned into a fight. he has a problem with yelling and swearing a bit too much. i keep telling him to go to therapy and he ignores me. i have had just about enough of his outbursts. another example is when i was on google for directions and the road was named nevada but the road we needed to turn on was arvada and said it was a typo. i said no its not its a road and he turned that into a fight because he thinks he is right all the time and i had to actually show him the map to prove he was wrong. its like he doesnt think im right or trust me or something. when he gets mad he drives bad and slams doors and breaks things which i think are unacceptable behavior. he blames work for everything and i cant do anything about that. im really thinking of just leaving..what can i do? he wont listen to meMarriage problem can anyone help?
Go to therapy with him, maybe not together at first.Other than that leave it won't get any better by itself.
I dont know how long you have been married or if you have children but this is a un healthy situation and believe me I have seen it before in my job (I am a deputy Sheriff) next he will start hitting you and still he will blame it on the job. time to exit my dear before the inevatable happens.. Please seek help even though he wont.. I wish you luck and i wish you love.,,,, Grant M in PennsylvaniaMarriage problem can anyone help?
hi hun
sorry to hear all that ' but you need to get away from him .Marriage problem can anyone help?
Funny how the majority of people rush to say , " Leave him" without really taking the time to provide a helpful or rather insightful answer.
Marriage takes work. marriage takes communication. Above all else you need to have a mutual respect for one another.
There are always two sides to every story and I know some things prove to be more difficult than it may come across in text. It sounds to me, and this is just an outsider's opinion, looking in, of course.. that you and he suffer from some communicating problems is all.
Take the whole road name typo thing. This whole arguement could have been avoided had you simply changed the way you responded to his statement. Its not always a matter of whether or not hes right or your right. Sometimes the right thing to do is just agree to disagree.. or simply state, " I understand how you can see it that way, but it actually is a road, here let me show you.." This wouldn't have come across so ' in your face' as " No, it's not, it;s a road." did.
I don't know.. marriage takes a lot of work. I think the biggest mistake nowadays is people get married way too soon without realizing what the committment really means and then are rushed to end things at the first sign of difficulties.
I eloped at 18, and am all too familiar with these pointless and oftentimes even silly arguements.. we worked through them because at the end of the day we knew we had made a committment to one another. He has gotten better at communicating actually and hardly ever loses his temper.
Unfortunately, I am leaving him but it has nothing to do with miscommunication anymore.. it is simply something that can not be fixed. But anyway, hope this helped a bit.
I wish you the best of luck.
He can't argue with out you. This will sound horrible, but just close your mouth. Don't say a word to him, don't try to prove anything...stop encouraging him. He will feel like a dick if he keeps up the antics. He is having problems at work, you need to be supportive and make home a place he WANTS to come home to...because he obviously is not enjoying that either.

What To Do During A Very Long Car Journey?
Okay, so in September, we're moving from New York to Florida.
According to Google Map Directions, it'll take 15 hours travelling 955 miles.
When we leave on September 15th, Grace will be 1 year and 13 days. Our twin girls are due on September 5th and providing they come on time, they'll be 10 days old.
We're stopping very often, so we know it'll take a lot longer than 15 hours. We're also staying in hotels along the way.
Anyone have any suggestions as to what to do to keep our children happy? They'll sleep for a while, but we want them to be happy the time they're awake. Anyone ever driven this far? What To Do During A Very Long Car Journey?
I actually made a 10 hour car journey (that took 15) when my sons were only 3 years old and 6 days old. The good news is that when they are that young, they tend to sleep a lot, though often not when you want them to. It is good that you are planning to make stops and stay in hotels, that will help a lot.
As for the older one, I suggest making her a goody bag that includes her favorite toys, books, etc so that when she gets restless you will have an arsenal of distractions to whip out. Try different things to try to keep her happy. If nothing will keep her happy (which will probably be the case more than once) then I suggest pulling over at a rest area or some similar place and getting out of the car for a bit. Keep plenty of bottles, snacks, and wipes on hand (it does get messy in a car!)
Most of all, try to be patient yourself. You WILL eventually get there, though it will certainly seem like you never will at times.
Good Luck with your move!
Hope this helps.
Put on some lively but smooth jazz music.Buy some new toys secretly without your baby knowing it and open them when she is really fussy. Good luck and congrats! What To Do During A Very Long Car Journey?
Ignore the answer above. I suggest to buy a portable DVD player and have them watch movies or you can play games that they would enjoy and so the family is involved too. Singing some songs can be fun too. You can buy coloring books for your one year old and some toys. What To Do During A Very Long Car Journey?
But a portable dvd player with a screen at walmart and stock up on sponge bob dvds
Having just drove with my four month old from MN to TN, it is not easy.
My best advice is to drive while they sleep and stop and wear them out by keeping them awake as long as possible.
We thought we could drive through and only stop a few times but that didn't happen. He got so frustrated with us that his doctor that we called said to give him half of the reccommended amount of baby tylenol just to calm him down.
bring some with just incase and make plenty of toys accesible. if you have one bring a portable dvd player/laptop with so the older one can watch a fun kids movie and the youger ones should be soothed by the sounds.
BEST TIP: Make Sure there is a place for you to sit in back with them if possible. holding the bottle(if you are bottle feeding) and singing or playing soft music or humming was the most soothing for our little one.
we were much better prepared for the trip back then the trip down.
good luck and stay relaxed

I accidentally offended my new friend...?
I just moved to a new city and made some new friends about a week ago.
So when we were meeting for dinner, my friend "Jessica"'s car broke down. I went to pick her up, we had dinner, then I drove her to get anti-freeze and back to her car to fix it. After we got "Jessica" all set up, she drove home, I dropped my other friend "Natalie" off and then I headed home.
When I was almost home, "Jessica" calls me again and says her car has broken down on the highway and could I come pick her up. I told her that I don't know where she is, I am almost home, and as soon as I get home I'll text her to get the address and google the directions. In the meantime, I suggested that she call "Natalie," since she might be closer and could probably pick her up faster than me. "Jessica" agrees. Then when I get home, I text her to let her know and ask for the address, and she responds back that Natalie is coming to get her, and as far as I know everything worked out.
It's been almost a week, and now "Natalie" tells me that I pissed off "Jessica" by refusing to come get her. I talked to "Jessica" during the week, and it didn't seem like she was mad. But I want to set things right, and make sure that one of the new friends I just made isn't secretly pissed off at me. How can I bring this up with her?I accidentally offended my new friend...?
No one is pissed off at you , they are both seeing how much of a friend you are really going to be by asking you to do things to help them out . Neither one of them really know you that well and are testing you out. Just tell them next time that you really want to be friends with them but from now on, do not use you as a taxi service and respect that and if they have a issue with their car perhaps it would be best to get it towed somewhere so no one will get offended that way and no one is being put out , You are new there , how are you supposed to know the streets and their locations? I think honestly that both of these girls are using you hunny . That happens a lot with the newbies, i know you want friends but something is telling me that these two are backstabbers. So watch out.
Just ask her. Don't beat around the bush. I'm sure she'll appreciate your honesty.I accidentally offended my new friend...?
I think this is all immaturity. Or maybe jealousy. The way you tell the story, it doesn't sound like you did anything wrong. It doesn't sound like you 'refused' to go back and get her..After all, you sent for the address so you could go back and find her. If she is upset, there seems to be no basis for it.
Is there any way that Natalie could be making it up? Is she jealous of you and Jessica?
I would bring it up in conversation, indirectly. Don't come right out and ask her Are you mad at me? but say something like, "it sure is a good thing that Natalie knew where you were to come back and get you. Maybe you guys can show me around so I can learn directions around here....
hope that helps...I accidentally offended my new friend...?
ask jessica if she mad at u not natlie and if jessica is mad at u talk to take out for dinner tell her the reason u could not pick her up
