I would like to purchase a vacation home. within driving distance from north louisiana, maybe a couple states away in all directions. where is a good place to invest? like, under $100,000. mountains are fine, waterfront is fine, anywhere really! any suggestions? ive googled everything i can think to google but not really finding anything.Where is the best place to invest in 2nd home?

Driving to Fire Island, Long island? Is it possible?
according to google maps, its possible, but apparenlty there are no cars allowed there? is this true?

My friend the address in questioned is the Stephen Decatur Middle School, which is located in the Bedford-Stuyvesant section of Brooklyn.
From your starting point at Madison and 116th Street, walk two blocks east along 116th Street to Lexington Avenue as indicated on the map at the link below.

Once at Lexington Avenue and 116th Street, enter the 116th Street subway station and take the downtown (southbound) 6 local train (Green Line on the subway map) from there to the 86th Street.
At 86th Street, transfer downstairs to the Brooklyn-bound (southbound) 4 or 5 express train (Green Line), which will take you from there to Fulton Street.
Once at Fulton Street, follow the directional signs to the "A", "C", 2 and 3 train (Blue and Red Lines). Take the Brooklyn-bound (southbound) "A" or "C" train (Blue Line) from Fulton Street/Broadway-Nassau to Utica Avenue.
Once you get to Utica Avenue, exit the subway and follow the walking directions on the map at the link below.

i am such an idiot, guys.
so today i had my interview scheduled with an alumni from MIT. she told me the name of a coffee shop she likes, and asked me to meet her at the Coffee Cafe on Drive St. and Oak St. (made up names). she asks me to bring a resume.
i wake up early and go to the library to print out my resume. i've carefully selected my attire - tidy and acedemic, but still being "myself". i have a few of my favorite books with me, and a list of my activities. i'm PREPARED. i google directions for "Drive St. Coffee Cafe", get on the bus, and arrive 15 minutes early.
45 minutes later she's still not there. i leave, confused, dejected, a bit worried. i get home and she's emailed me: "Hi - I waited for about 30 minutes. I hope we didn't miss each other altogether." i skim our emails. the Coffee Cafe on Drive and Oak St. I had been at the Coffee Cafe at Drive and... Fell St.
so i missed my MIT interview.
is there any bouncing back? or has my failure to carefully read emails DOOMED me? why would MIT accept a kid who can't get the name of a street right!

Where can I find free downloadable mapping software online? One with driving directions and road maps in particular.
